Schutzwälle und Ziegelmauern - Ansammlungen von Universalbauten breiten sich als neue Vororte an den Siedlungsperipherien aus. Die scheinbare Flucht ins "Eigene", gerät zum Umzug ins das schablonenhaft Glatte, das formal Wiederholende, das saubere Bürgerliche. Baumärkte liefern vorgestaltete Rohstoffe für diese Paradiese.

Zumeist im Grünen, jenseits, aber auch in unmittelbarer Nähe, bedeckt und versteckt von Blattwerk gibt es Anderes - verborgene Bauten, Konstrukte, Stückwerke menschlicher Improvisation.

Letztere entstehen, existieren und vergehen nebenbei.

Schöpfer, Funktionen und Geschichte lassen sich in den zum Teil bizarren äußeren Formen zumiest nicht verorten. Alleinig die Ahnungen von vielleicht intimen Geheimnissen vergessener Plätze, von Kindern, die sich oder Haustieren Schutz schufen, von Vergangenem und Vergehendem - von etwas, das Symbol wird, setzen diese nebenbei-Bauten in den Fokus.

Behind bulwarks and brick walls, there are new middle-class suburbs with buildings, that are equally constructed and spreaded out to become the peripheries of urban and rural settlements. The belief in the ostensible escape in the "own individual world" of those places is an illusion. Everything there is a formally repetitive, clean environment. Planners and property markets deliver preformed raw materials for the creation of those cloned paradises.

Mostly in the green, outside of the bulwarks, there are other things, which mostly are covered and hidden by the foliage - concealed constructions, material patchworks of human improvisation. They have been created once, exist now and disappear, mostly without being noticed. In their partly weird and strange surfaces and structures the former creators, the intended functions as well as the history of those beings cannot be recognized.

Solely the notions of intimate secrets at these forgotten places, the notions of children who created protectional hiding spots, notions of things which might become symbol, place this kind of peripherical constructs in the focus of my camera.
